SAKICHA Washing Station is geographically classified as Guji, but it is sitting on the mountain slope that is very close to Gedeb. 

There is only about 20 years of coffee growing history in Sakicha, therefore the coffee varieties are relatively new, they are mostly planting the improved variety from JARC(Jimma Agricultural Research Centre), tend to have a more consistent cup profile and production.

Farmers in Sakicha are in general younger and more educated for coffee farming. Coffee trees are more well pruned, cherries are ripening at the same time, and  farmers pick better cherries, all these factors determine the quality of the final cup, however they are often to be overlooked.
